Continuing the saga of Homicide Detective Gabe Garshowitz and his beautiful young partner, Detective Constable Iris Forester. This mystery deals with Gabe's perennial foe, Harry Greco, and the troublesome Detective Sergeant Simon Munz. The cases Gabe and Iris try to solve throughout the novel all have a common theme - love in its many positive and negative forms.

2006    THE MINYAN
(Soft Cover) (428 pages)
Fifty years after the war, a journal is found in a house being demolished that tells of 10 inmates from Berkinau who pledged to kill 10 inmates not deserving to live for what they did in the camp. A Jewish reporter finds out about the journal and goes to Europe to see if these men did keep their pledge. (continuation of An Eye For An Eye)
 
2004    AN EYE FOR AN EYE

A fiction novel having to do with a murder in 1921in Lodz, Poland, a romance between a Jewish woman and a Polish soldier, the war as seen through the eyes of a gentile family and the Holocaust seen through the eyes of a Jewish family.

 

            Winner: 2005 International BookAdz Award for a book written by a Canadian or American author and published by independent, university, small press and self-publishers or print-on-demand (POD) or self-published authors.

Eighteen stories having to do with Family, History and Mystery – 14 of them having been previously published before in anthologies, tabloids, magazines and newspapers such Chicken Soup for the Parents Soul and Women’s World (New York).

Events that unfold between an old Jewish cop and his non-Jewish female partner and how the cases affect their lives. They become involved with six cases that leave an emotional impact on the two of them and make their relationship stormy at times.

 

            Nominated for Arthur Ellis Award by Crime Writers of Canada for the Best First Novel of 2002 and optioned for television.
